Saints, truly saints

Despite an overnight flight with limited sleep, upon arriving at of first layover, Lori and I both felt compelled to swing into immediate action as our never ending quest to do good kicked in instantaneously. With ten hours between flights, we opted to do what any decent and altruistic couple would. We identified a place in obvious need and began to find ways to improve things.

Be it Europe, Asia, or Africa, people are in need. We feel that those of us raised in relative priveledge and luxury of the first world may find some of the images disturbing.

Notice traditional garb.

Rest assured, dear readers, that we will be tiptoeing in, acclimatizing you to the lifestyle challenges and horrors that go with the Third World.

Below is the Business Class Lounge at Istanbul’s Ataturk Airport.

Notice the blank aimless stares of the people who are effectively trapped in this environment until some type of transport can be arranged to get them out of their living hell.

Aleppo is Club Med by comparison.
So gird your loins, pour yourself a stiff one and join your intrepid dogooders as we try valiantly to improve the lives of these unfortunate wretches.
